Our ESB Entrepreneurs just finished off 3 days filled with inspiring insights into founder’s stories, wholesome Alumni get together and there was also time for a fresh Berliner Kindl here and there ;-)

Day 01: After our arrival with the comfortable Flixtrain we are heading to our first startup of the trip: Klim. A startup focusing on regenerative agriculture being the middle man/woman between big corporations and the farmers. It is in the interest of both - customers and producers - to keep our soil healthy for the next decades to come. Klim has seen this opportunity to create value in the most sustainable manner by working together with experts in the agriculture sector. Thank you to Martin Enssle for giving us additional insights into the finance journey of startups.

Day 02: Our crew is getting treated with muesli, fresh bread, spreads and juice for breakfast. Our stomachs filled we are heading to the first startup of the day: Tooltime. This startup is THE all in one software solution for tradesmen/tradeswomen. We are given insights into the founder’s story of how ToolTime emerged from a project with BCG-Digital Ventures and their process of interviewing/visiting hundreds of tradespeople to find out their specific needs in a software. This is followed by lunch at the local thai around the corner together with Vera Fuest thanks again for taking your time! The second startup of the day: Zukunftsmotor. A provider of trainings for jobseeking people to regain confidence and the needed skills for a successful restart in their career. This startup is a mix of both worlds – NGO and company. While working towards their main purpose of helping jobseekers they still achieve this by being profitable and therefore working efficiently. The presentation on Zukunftsmotor’s concept is followed by a keynote from Erik Heinelt on his journey of building several startups during the startup boom in Berlin and a get together with local ESB Alumni. Thank you to Franzis KaIbele for making this happen and also for hosting the Alumni get together!

Day 03: On the last day of our Safari we are visiting Airteam. A startup focusing on analyzing roofs and facades of buildings by using modern drone technology and their own software they developed to map the surface of the building simply by flying over it. This revolutionary idea saves hundreds of hours for tradespeople who used to have to climb on every roof to measure it by hand. Thomas Bücheler tells us about his journey from a big corporate career at Coca Cola to slowly becoming a founder through his passion for drones. Thanks a lot for inviting us to your coworking space in Kreuzberg!

And that’s it for this year’s Safari – 3 days 4 startups, curious where it’s gonna take us next? Don’t miss out on our next Startup Safari 2026 by joining our community.
